Singapore HDB blocks are often seen as mundane, and most locals go by without ever taking notice of them. This project is an attempt to study and compile a visual compilation of the various design elements that are on these huge concrete structures.

A series of publications that present my exploration through the urban residential landscape of heartland Singapore. My personal insights are accompanied with photos and graphics to help change the impression that the typical Singaporean may have of their urban landscape.

As part of this project, I made a set of postcards using the photographs I had taken while exploring the various towns. The intention behind these cards is to convey the message that our local flats are not as plain and simple as they may think.

The face of the card simply shows the photo, while the back has the location and date the photo was taken. This minimalist approach draws greater focus to the photographs.
